Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026
Overview
GolfIQ ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit mygolfiqapp.com or join our waitlist, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write this in plain language rather than dense legal text.
GolfIQ is currently in development. The app described on this site is not yet publicly available. This policy currently covers our website and waitlist; we'll update it before launch to reflect how the GolfIQ app itself handles your data once it's live.
Information we collect
Right now, while GolfIQ is pre-launch, we collect very little. Specifically:
- Email address. If you join our waitlist, we collect the email address you provide.
- Basic usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically log standard technical information, such as your browser type, device type, and pages visited, to help us understand how the site is used and to keep it secure.
We do not currently collect payment information, government IDs, or precise location data through this website. Once the GolfIQ app launches, this policy will be updated to describe any additional information the app itself collects, such as your golf rounds, scores, and handicap data, before that data collection begins.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect for straightforward purposes:
- To notify you when GolfIQ launches and to provide early access to waitlist members.
- To send occasional updates about our progress, if you've opted in to receive them.
- To understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it.
- To respond if you contact us directly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.
Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate this website and waitlist:
- Brevo stores and manages waitlist email addresses on our behalf. Brevo has its own privacy policy governing how it processes data on our behalf.
- Our hosting provider serves the website files and may log basic technical/security information as part of normal web hosting operations.
We choose third-party providers carefully and only share the minimum information necessary for them to perform their function.
Cookies and tracking
Our website may use minimal cookies or similar technologies necessary for basic functionality and to understand aggregate site traffic. We do not currently use cookies for cross-site advertising or to build advertising profiles about you.
Data retention
We retain waitlist email addresses until GolfIQ launches and you either convert to an active account or ask us to delete your information, whichever comes first. If GolfIQ's launch plans change significantly, we'll either delete waitlist data or notify you of what comes next.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information, including removing you from the waitlist entirely.
- Unsubscribe from any emails at any time, using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws; we'll honor applicable legal requirements as they apply to you.
Children's privacy
GolfIQ's website and waitlist are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as GolfIQ develops, particularly as we get closer to launching the actual app, since that will introduce new categories of data (like golf rounds and scores) not covered by this current website-focused version. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever we make changes, and for significant changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify waitlist members directly.
